Elopements
Paris elopement photographer
Dreaming of saying yes just the two of you, at sunrise, with Paris as your backdrop? I photograph intimate weddings across the city with a documentary, cinematic eye — and I speak English.
Where to elope in Paris
Palais-Royal
Arcades, the inner garden and Buren's columns — graphic, elegant and calm even during the day.
Pont Alexandre III
The most beautiful bridge in Paris. Art Nouveau lamps and a view over the Invalides — the light is unreal at sunrise.
Montmartre
Cobbled lanes, the view from the Sacré-Cœur and the Butte stairs. Cinematic — come early to avoid the crowds.
Jardin du Luxembourg
In autumn: golden leaves, the pond and the Medici fountain hidden under the trees.
My advice
Paris is best photographed early
The most beautiful Paris images happen on timing: a mairie on a weekday, an elopement at first light, portraits during the golden hour. I'll build a realistic route with you — no rushing, no crowds, no stress. And let yourself be carried: the loveliest elopements I've photographed were the ones couples barely planned.
Paris wedding photographyElopement — your questions
What exactly is an elopement?
An intimate wedding — often just the two of you, sometimes with a handful of loved ones. No long guest list, no seating plan. Just the essential: two people committing to each other, in a place that means something.
Is a Paris elopement legally binding?
Not automatically. Most couples either have a civil marriage in their home country and a symbolic ceremony in Paris, or a symbolic ceremony with an officiant. A civil marriage in France requires a file lodged at a mairie at least a month ahead. I'm happy to point you to bilingual officiants.
How long does an elopement shoot take?
Plan for 2 to 3 hours. We usually start at sunrise, take a coffee break in a Paris café (I love photographing those moments), then move to a second location.
Do you speak English?
Yes — I work in both French and English, which makes planning an international elopement in Paris straightforward.
